The filmmaking industry and entertainment distribution have
changed since the golden age of Hollywood, if there was such
a thing. When Spike jumped on the scene and was declared the
new don-dada of indie-guerilla filmmaking, that was a good
thing and a bad thing. It inspired many wanna-be Lee's, Welles,
and Hitchcocks' to get off their ass and get to work on their
own film ideas. The result was a lot of cool films showcasing
new ideas and people from around the world; the other was
cheap entertainment and horrible technical skills being center-stage
on the final product.
During this period, we are also well aware that many solid,
well written, well-acted films have been passed on by distributors.
THE SQUAD IS HERE TO HELP. We are working
with a Los Angeles based producer and we want to know about
your completed film. Completed films only.
YOUR FILM could be on shelves nationwide.
