CLICK HERE TO READ, WAZZUP, MY NAME IS RAP MUSIC

YO...A&R, Rappers, Lyricists, Label Heads, Promotions, Distribution, Video Directors, BET Programmers and MTV Programmers and more that can't be listed, Over SIXTY-PERCENT of UFP Subscribers Voted Yesterday THAT RAP IS OUTTA CONTROL!

HOWEVER, WE GOTTA SHINE SOME LIGHT ON TWO THAT ARE BREAKING THE MOLD.

OUT OF RESPECT, WE HAVE CHOSEN ONLY TWO ARTISTS and ONE LABEL FOR THIS SECTION, TALIB KWELI & MOS DEF from the RAWKUS CAMP. We are choosing them because they were referenced in more than 40% of the letters yesterday as being the only RARE voices remaining in rap today. SEE, YOU DON'T NEED HEAVY VIDEO ROTATION or RADIO SPINS to have THE PEOPLE love you. Big props to Talib, Mos and the crew at Rawkus.

So what should you do if this e-mail is on your desktop? The Squad has 3 suggestions.

1. MUSIC PROFESSIONALS - WAKE UP. Consumers are SICK N'TIRED of your choices on who gets spins and video rotation. We are sick of it. Period. One subscriber actually wrote that she "does not even listen to rap anymore." D*MN. Rap is losing customers no matter how many albums Eminem sells. WAKE UP. Change your mind, your consumers will follow. If you don't, Metal Rock is gonna come back and steal all of your customers. Don't giggle or smirk, it could happen. Remember when IBM thought they would control the computer world forever?

2. MUSIC PROFESSIONALS - FIGHT YOUR BOSS. If your boss is some pencil-neck that wouldn't know Farmers Blvd, from Farmers Market, but is pressuring you to continue to usher in acts that continue to ROT the CORE of HIP-HOP, as well as our youth, YOU need to take a stance and make a difference by objecting to the further onslaught on our culture and the music. Curse him or her out if necessary. Seriously. Until you show someone that you are committed to a DEFINITIVE course of action, you will never, ever be respected. SPEAK UP!

3. CONSUMERS - WRITE LETTERS TO BET and MTV. When UFP launches, we will publish many of the comments sent in by subscribers. Many of you in the music industry that wrote us expressed your appreciation of the article. We appreciate that. But the consumers have the power and they are not aware of it. If you are tired of the CRAPPY, same ole', worn out videos showcased on BET and MTV, write to the networks and express your dissatisfaction immediately. Much like politicians, programmers will continue to do the same d*mn thing until the people say, WE ARE TIRED OF YOUR RAP VIDEOS!

THE POLL RESULTS:

Rap Music is Bangin' Right Now - 4%
Rap Music is Still and Always Holdin' It Down! - 10%
Rap Music is Aiight. - 12%
Rap Music is Crap and will never be back. - 5%
Rap Music is Outta Control - 65%
Rap Music is Dead. - 3%
