Jerome plays Trent The Artist

When I completed the script for this movie, I felt strongly that it deserved to be produced. I thought it had something to say about a generation of people and should be made. But...I didn't know how to produce. Thus began my filmmaking adventure.

Making this movie has been a hell of a journey. A journey of consuming work, endless hours, enormous sacrifice, battles, begging, borrowing, and robbing banks. Well, not the robbing banks part, but that makes it sound kind of sexy.

I did nearly everything to bring this project to fruition, to completion, and finally into distribution. As difficult as it's been, it has been worth it. Not only in terms of growth as a filmmaker and producer, but also in terms of mental/emotional/spiritual growth. And the internal gratification I feel from accomplishing something that meant a lot to me is tremendous.

The kicker to all this? The movie works on two levels. On one level, pure entertainment. Someone can just sit down, enjoy the movie and not "think" about it during or after. But there's another level, for those who notice it, that transcends the surface of entertainment. And when someone says to me they got this other level, or they thought about the movie days after seeing it...well, this is the chocolate icing on the "completed movie gratification" cake!
