Geeez. It's 2004 and the world is still rotating in the Milky Way. I read
in ESQUIRE Magazine, (The Genius Issue, December 2003) that Adam Riess of
the SPACE, TELESCOPE AND SCIENCE INSTITUTE in Baltimore, MD has actually
proved that a theory of Einstein's was correct when Big-Stein predicted
it in 1917. Einstein later dropped the theory saying it was his "biggest
blunder." Riess and a team of universe examiners have now proved that
Einstein was right in 1917. Now how about that for class-smart guy stuff.
The theory is that of Dark Energy which basically lets us know that the
world will not end with the Universe engulfing itself, but rather, planets
and stars will continue to drift apart but the Milky Way will remain intact
because of Gravity. What tripped me out about this story is how is a
man like Adam Riess able to prove theories by Einstein, advance his mind
and our world within the same city where more than seventy-percent of African-American
males never obtain a high school diploma? That's right. Baltimore is in
bad shape with its youth. Is it gravity that holds them down? Whatever the
case, please pay attention to this city or it may implode like Dark Energy.
Advancement in science is great but advancement in entertainment is just
as hard and rewarding. Just think if Steven Spielberg hadn't created "Jaws,"
or Spike never did "Do The Right Thing," or HBO didn't continue
to smash all boundaries with its original programming. Like Prom, your first
kiss, your first viewing of The Godfather, Squad Mc is amped to catch the
return of the bullies from New Jerz, The Sopranos. Tony, Christopher, The
Bada-Bing Girls, Paulie, Carmela and the crew return for their 5th Season
of the Cable Series Epic. Peep this. David Chase has also inked a deal for
a SIXTH SEASON of The Sopranos. Filming will begin 2005.
I have grown with Tony Soprano. Tony's so f*cked up, yet his loyalty to
his family, crew and certain principles make him the lovable gangster. Undoubtedly,
James Gandolfini's portrayal of the New Jersey Don-Dada has been the fire
that lit the storm called, The Sopranos. Big props to HBO for working out
his deal and bringing the show back. This year, maybe Tony will teach me
something about will power. He's gonna need it.
Hmmmm. Baltimore. The Wire. Universal discoveries. Obviously, gravity has
not stopped the creative forces at HBO. Rock on HBO. Rock on. LITERALLY,
HBO is bringing back CHRIS ROCK this year and that will be a blessing. CHRIS,
if you are reading this, bring it real or not at all. You have raised the
bar. Raise it further.
Back to The Sopranos. The show will air beginning on SUNDAY, MARCH 7 at
9:00pm-10:00pm ET. There will be 13 episodes of the show with new guest
star, STEVE BUSCEMI (Fargo) playing Tony Soprano's cousin, Tony Blundetto.
This season looks like it's gonna be Tony's roughest year yet in running
his empire. Carmela's leaving Tony, the cops are really on his azz, and
other crews wanna take a bite outta his pockets by any means necessary.
All we can say is tune in on Sunday, March 7 because gravity will be on
hold.
